We respect your privacy. Globe TV is designed to be simple and privacy‑friendly: no accounts, no invasive tracking. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Who we are

Globe TV is a directory of publicly available live TV streams. We do not host video content. Contact: [email protected].

What we do not collect

• No accounts or profile data.
• No cross‑site tracking or third‑party tracking pixels.
• No sale of personal data.

Analytics (Matomo, self‑hosted)

To improve the site, we use Matomo analytics, self‑hosted on our own server. Matomo helps us understand which pages are useful and if there are errors.

• Data collected: page URLs, referrers, approximate location (based on anonymized IP), device type, browser, and aggregated usage metrics.
• IP anonymization: we truncate/anonymize IP addresses before storage.
• First‑party cookies: Matomo may set first‑party cookies to remember session/visit information.
• Do Not Track: we honor your browser’s Do Not Track signal where feasible.

Server logs

Our web server may record standard access logs (IP address, user‑agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and debugging. Logs are retained for a limited time and rotated.

Favorites and local data

If you add channels to Favorites, this is stored locally in your browser (LocalStorage) and never sent to our server.

Embedded players & third‑party providers

Streams are provided by third parties. When you play a stream, the provider may set their own cookies or collect information according to their policies. Globe TV does not control third‑party processing.

Advertising (planned)

In the future, we plan to run ads via Google AdSense. If enabled, Google may set cookies or use similar technologies for ad personalization and measurement. We will update this policy and present a consent banner before activating AdSense.

Data retention

• Server access logs: typically retained up to 30 days (then rotated).
• Matomo analytics: retained in aggregate form up to 13 months.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data and follow the principle of data minimization.

Children’s privacy

Globe TV is not directed to children under 13. If you believe we inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us to remove it.
